Show and Tell bags...

Morning everyone, hope your all having a good week so far... Just a quick post from me to show a couple of little bags I made for Carla, she wants them for her class in Sept; they are quite tiny and were made from material I had in stash from when Mia was small....the calico I bought on-line from Amazon.... made the bunting from odds and sods and the letters are felt, covered in glitter.....don't know how long that will last but will sort that out 'if and when'....
This is the other one, tried to make it abit more  boyish, still no lettering yet... and as I was running out of the material fast, I cut up and did abit of patch-work, not the best...I know....but still..... Anyway, Carla says she is happy with them and I hope the little ones have fun using them.... That's all from me for a while, I need to stop and re-charge, wish I was as fit as I once was...but there you go... Thanks for the visit, see you soon... Hugs Janette.xx

Bag time....

Happy, wet and windy, Wednesday to all in the UK...well most of us anyway, if your in a sunny part of the world, enjoy and think of us ...is this REALLY our summer....our village Gala is this week-end, fingers crossed it dries up before then....
I am here to show a bag I made a few week's ago for a cousin of Mia', she loves these so will be happy ....I hope.....with this one.... The patterned material is from Hobby-craft, real good quality I have to say.....and the calico is some I bought ages ago on-line from Safron designs, through Amazon... The design is a copy of a Debbie Shore bag, but I made mine a separate pocket front instead of sewing together.... Very easy to make and if you get a chance nip onto Debbie Shores blogor you tube and get lots of fab inspiration.... In the mean time, thank you for popping in to see what I am up to, will call and see you, Mia is here today as she broke-up yesterday lunch, the boys and Carla don't finish til Thursday, I can tell you, L…

A labour of love..!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon, hope your all enjoying a lovely Sunday where ever you are.. I just popped on to show this book, it's a scrap kind of memento saver really,it has taken me far longer than I thought, {Last Monday to be precise.. } and as I told my good pal AuntySue earlier in the week, I was sorry I started it..lol... ANYWAY.... A BIT PICTURE HEAVY, BUT HERE GOES... I took three 6x6 boards, cut the centre one in half to make a spine, covered with material that is wadded to give a soft touchy feel... Each page is made from A4 card, folded in half with a pocket fold at the base for tags etc;, I also left the tops open, again for tags and bits and bobs...you know the script I'm sure... As you can see.....lots and lots of stamping, paper choosing, die-cutting and general hair tearing going on....it all took far to long for me, my hands can't stand the strain I hate to say, nor can my nerves....
The little boxed envelope on the back there is for spare bits , well you all know who…

Been playing again...

Good morning, hope your having a nice week-end... Was having a play the other day and made another mini wreath, I love these, so cute... This is half covered in string and then blitzed with flowers etc, mostly from wild orchid ... I can tell you that glue gun worked extra hard for this one....lol... Hope you like....see you soon, Hugs Janette.xxx

Here is my card using 'Basketfull'.. I felt very unhappy with this card, not at all what I thought and at this point I just can't change it, I am so 'done in'...lol...but those strawberries are so yummy, Mia likes hers with lots of sugar on....can't imagine how she came up with that …

Something other than a card for a change...

Good morning and a very Happy Independence day to all who celebrate it..... I can show this to you now as I am certain it arrived last week with the person it was made for, I get tired of card making, as you may have noticed from time to time...so a nice wall hanger for a friend...fingers crossed it wasn't to frilly or fancy for her taste.... Cut some thick board into a heart shape, paper and painted and used brick stencil and butterfly stencil with grunge paste, added beads around edge, ribbon from stash, flowers, charm and bird, wild orchid, heart tag has pc generated sentiment....I really enjoy making things like this, I do have one waiting it's turn to show you, more of a wreath again....lol... ************* Have a good week-end, it's still very warm but we had the mother of storms with us in the night, but the thunder and lightning were such a wonderful sight...free show across the fields looked amazing.... I even had to shut the window for a while, soon opened again…
